A Civil Engineering biased Design Manager is currently required to join a £100 Million plus live Project for a Civil Engineering Main Contractor.

As an organisation they are a global Construction and Civil Engineering company who operate in projects across Rail, Highways & Energy Sectors.

The project is the construction of a new Energy Recovery Facility which will transform tonnes of waste from landfill every year and unlock one of the largest low-carbon district heat networks in London.

As a result  of this milestone they are now looking for a Design Manager to manage the process between the consultancy and the client.

As a Design Manager you will have demonstratable history of working in the construction industry with skills in Temporary Works, Highways, Construction, Civil Engineering, and AutoCAD. 

This £1.2bn facility  will treat up to 700,000 tonnes of waste and provide enough electricity to power over 127,000 homes within the local area.

Due to the nature of the Project the following experience is required:

• Degree / HNC or HND in civil engineering (or equivalent compensating experience in a technical engineering role)
• Experience as Design Manager in a multi-disciplinary contracting environment.
• Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft packages experience with AutoCAD software
• Good forward planner and excellent motivator to manage large teams with different goals to enable them to work together to produce a coordinated and coherent design.  
• Good people skills, with the ability present ideas effectively and to be able to evaluate the ideas of others whilst in meetings. 
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of a construction project and efficient document managers.
