Civil Engineering Main Contractor
Contract role with an immediate start
A Degree Qualified enthusiastic Sub Agent is urgently required to join Commercial team for a Main Contractor. This is an opportunity to support a joint venture Construction partner working on the ongoing HPC Project.
As an organisation they currently work on a number of projects spanning across Highways, Rail, Tunnelling and Civils across the UK.
The main focus of the role is to Support the Project Manager and provide engineering and quality control for the construction works including maintaining appropriate records. Your role will also require you to ensure the project site remains compliant with requirements in all aspects.
Requirements/duties:
· To work with Cost Forecasts, actual costs, accruals, cost coding. To interpret figures, read bill of quantities and input/ code costs in the SPE system
· On a monthly basis, the candidate will produce monthly SPE reports, analyse them, look at deviations, and discuss with his/her management
·To keep the system up-to-date with costing information
Level of qualifications, relevant experience:
· Great analytical capabilities, attention to detail and IT knowledgeable especially with spreadsheets
· Passion to get correct numbers and patient enough to achieve the right results, even with incomplete information.
·Preferable experience with cost forecasts and budgets
·Preferable understanding of construction costs
