Civil Engineering Main Contractor

RGB are currently supporting a Global Construction and Civil Engineering Tier 1 Main contractor to assist them in sourcing the very best talent within Civil Engineering.

They are renowned for their expertise within construction currently supporting some of the biggest projects in the UK to include HPC, HS2, Crossrail as well as a number of design and build jobs.

Due to continued success as an opportunity has been created for a Site Agent to join the Southwest team to deliver a number schemes such as earthworks, concrete and drainage works for local authorities.

 As the Site Agent you’ll support the Project Manager by Supervising and overseeing the project, keeping track of a project's progress and ensuring that construction work meets the client's specifications and requirements. You will also play a key role in client liaison updating them on the project timeline and reporting any issues and resolving.

 

Day to day duties will include:

• Implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety policies and procedures 
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with the specification
• Ensure labour, plant & materials are accurately recorded
• Contribute to preparation of programme
• Plan and order materials and plant to achieve programmes
• Keep daily records of work carried out
• Ensure that works proceed in accordance with site programmes
• Ensure contract compliance working with other departments

Due to the nature of the projects the successful candidate must have demonstratable experience of the following criteria:

• SMSTS & CSCS & First Aid            
• An industry applicable qualification
• Demonstrable civil engineering experience within heavy civils
• Experience of working on large scale Civil Engineering projects
• Full driver's license
• Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
