RGB are delighted to be supporting one of the South West’s leading names within Civil Engineering and Construction.
As an organisation they are well established and affectionately known as being the go to company for any major infrastructure projects within the South West.
Having gained a significant pipeline of Civil Engineering projects they are in need of an autonomous and capable Estimator with a Civil engineering and Infrastructure bias to lead off of the costing and pricing.
The South West continues to attract more and more visitors, relocators and new businesses which has meant it’s never been more important to ensure that the regions transport links are maintained and serviced to support the local authorities.
The main purpose of the role is to lead the current department and provide support for the Head of Estimating.
Other duties will include:
- Provide estimates and calculating costs of the projects
- Being responsible for any financial, technical & contractual risks
- Fulfil the contract by maximising gross profit.
- Provide leadership and manage and motivate a team
- Support the bid team and tenders and the process from start to finish
- provide regular forecasts and reports to understand the progress of the project.
Essential experience: Due to the nature of the Projects it is essential that you have previous experience as an Estimator in a rail or civil engineering / infrastructure environment to include multi-disciplinary projects and/or frameworks.
This role could suit someone comfortable in working from home who would then commute to Devon or Cornwall when required for business or tender meetings.
You’ll be technically aware, with sound knowledge of Infrastructure delivery gained with reputable Contracting businesses though some client side experience in addition would be a bonus.
This is a great opportunity to join a company that can offer career progression and stability past a contract or phase of work. They are involved in a number of historic and future frameworks.
To be considered for this role please apply with an up to date copy of your CV along with a covering letter to support your application.
