Are you a confident and enthusiastic Structural Engineer, working towards chartered status?

A highly regarded structural engineering consultancy, specialising in the design of architecturally lead building structures is looking for a Structural Engineer due to a sustained increase in work.

The business….

This practice is based in a spectacular part of the world with easy access to public transport routes. Due to their close affiliation with a local architectural practice they have relationships with prestigious clients and as such tend to punch well above their weight. The handle projects from a variety of sectors including; basement and tope storey extensions, high end “Grand Design” cliff top properties, commercial, education, demolition and rebuild, spas and leisure facilities. As well as more traditional buildings they also design innovative eco structures and innovative materials such as Glulam timber.

The Role…

We are looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer who is comfortable speaking directly with clients and stakeholders, someone who is keen to work towards running their own project and has a real interest in the design of “one off” buildings.

Responsibilities will include:

• Producing drawings, design calculations, structural reports, surveys and undertaking site visits with occasional visits to the South East
• Liaising with clients, contractors and architects maintaining and developing relationships
• Working with all traditional materials including; steel, concrete, timber and masonry as well as eco materials such as straw bale
• Helping in the development of the team, while yourself working towards chartered status
• Attending CPD and industry networking events
