If you are a creative, talented, and ambitious designer, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Bristol team.
This is a key role in support of the Directors, and you will work as part of the team preparing, developing, and editing drawings, models, images, and other design information.
Responsibilities:- Prepare building designs and highly detailed models using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Produce efficient and well-structured coordinated models, data and drawings that comply with quality standards.
- Work to company design procedures and use relevant project information to produce accurate design for manufacture and assembly information.
- Monitor health and safety in design and prepare design risk assessments and residual risk registers.
- Communicate design decisions to the project team.
- Identify and resolve conflicts in information from diverse project sources.
- Prepare specifications, scopes of work, and provide technical assessments of construction works packages.
- Prepare, submit and co-ordinate Building Control applications and the subsequent discharge of any conditions.
- Where appropriate, monitor manufacturing and/or construction work in progress to ensure compliance with specification.
- Maintain a good understanding of Building Regulation Approved Documents, British and European Standards, Codes of Practice, BIM procedures and good working practices.
- Coordinate activity with agreed programmes and schedules.
- Check all information produced for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
Expectations:- Represent the business in all interactions with Clients.
- Work with internal and external design teams to interpret, influence and optimise architectural / structural designs for off-site manufacture.
- Work constructively to ensure timely, clear, and accurate communication of information with team members, Clients, Contractors, and Consultants.
- Work with the Project Lead and other project stakeholders to ensure a smooth workflow and production of Revit models, data transfer and project documentation.
- Keep up to date with developments in off-site manufacture and assembly techniques.
Essential experience:
- Experience of BIM Level 2 Standard in Revit
- Experience of Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DfMA).
- Experience of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
Required Skills:- Good working knowledge of Building Regulation Approved Documents, British and European Standards, Codes of Practice, BIM procedures.
- Experience working on complex and large-scale projects.
- Working knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD and Office 365.
- Ambitious, task orientated, team player, with a passion for excellent customer service.
Benefits & Opportunities:- Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Location: Office based in Bristol, the role includes some travel within UK.
- Contract: Permanent, full time 37.5 hours per week.
