Commercial Assistant – Plymouth
A construction company is in search for a Commercial Assistant to join a very busy team on a permanent basis in Plymouth. The purpose will be to support a well-established commercial team, you should be detail-focused, confident speaking with suppliers and site teams and have construction/accounting awareness! This company offer an array of exciting and varied projects including refurbishments, commercial new build, renovations and extensions within Healthcare, Education, Commercial and Public Sector etc.

Responsibilities:

• Raising subcontract orders for QS’s
• Processing contractor valuations
• Query invoices
• Issuing of certificate of payments to contractors
• Filing and keeping databases updated where required
• Generate and chase up/store quotes
• Chasing quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers
• Assisting the commercial team as directed
• Speaking with suppliers, merchants, site teams

• Open to having a background in construction or accounting 
• Excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret and present data
• Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
• Strong IT skills including Excel
