We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced sustainable building services consultancy in Birmingham, where you will be a key part of the business development team with a high degree of self-government.

The consultancy covers a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential and education where client care and repeat business are crucial to the company’s success. They aim to go beyond the conventional boundaries of MEP consulting. Transforming buildings with interconnected, efficient, and innovative designs to increase value.

We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to cater to their office in Birmingham. This role will see you technically and creatively challenged on exciting developments in the UK. At the consultancy, their projects thrive on teamwork and collaboration, making your excellent communication abilities and enthusiasm for achieving success with others invaluable in this role.

About the role
The Business Development Manager's role may include but is not limited to:

• Coordinating all bid and tender-related activity from across disciplines.
• Support in the draft of RFQs/RFPs and the requirements for submissions.
• Support high-level work for winning bids with the creative use of existing work winning templates.
• Understand the company’s portfolio of work, key sectors, and ethos.
• Maintain and update marketing material, including but not limited to capability profiles, and CV’s
• Assist in creating content for internal and external communications in line with our growth strategy (newsletters, website news, social media).
• Research local and regional online sources for potential opportunities.
• Research conferences and speaking engagements, key clients, potential clients and anticipated projects.
• Exhibition design and planning for both internal and external events.
• Design of high-level marketing materials.
• Provision of expert advice in appropriate use of the company brand.

• 3 - 5 years of professional experience in a marketing and business development profession with a design or professional services firm, preferably in the construction industry.
• High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• High proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
• High attention to detail and an authentic investment in producing high quality materials.
• Some graphic design experience a plus but not essential.
• Demonstrated work on creating aesthetic marketing content.
• A flexible, innovative team player.
• Collaboration skills and the ability to successfully establish credibility in the role of advisor.
• Confident and able to work with stakeholders at all levels

• Annual salary of £45,000-£65,000
