Joining a small developer who specialise in low volume and bespoke builds. Joining a small team working closely with an experienced construction professional to take on the commercial function.
Seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable quantity surveyor who is looking for that next step and be involved in other areas of the business also. Reporting to the SMT typically overseeing 2-3 small projects in the Devon area. . .
You will take full commercial responsibility for the sites including - subcontractor management, financial reporting, cost control, variations and payment recommendations, valuations, identifying risk, CVR reporting and final account etc.
Applicants should possess the following experience and attributes:- A housing development background is essential with either a contractor or developer.
- Experience of running your own projects
- Strong commercial awareness
- Good knowledge of building regs
- Experience of undertaking CVRs
- Ideally experienced in different forms of contract
- Accustomed to running your own scheme/s
- Ideally qualified to degree or HNC level in Construction or Quantity Surveying or working towards
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Fully IT literate
- Strong reporting skills
- A team player
- Organised
